Chris Reilly is a Los Angeles-based artist, hacker and teacher. Chris received his BFA with a focus on New Media from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006, and will receive an MFA from UCLA’s Design | Media Arts Department in 2013. Since 2003, he has shown work in solo and group art exhibitions in the US and Europe. Working individually and collaboratively, Chris’ artwork explores telepresence, mediated relationships, physical subjectivity and community building with media including games, augmented reality, kinetic sculpture, robots, and open-source hardware/software projects. From time to time, he works as a teacher at places like Marwen, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and lynda.com; and as a kid’s game developer at 3CD. [+more]
